So now that we are all excited about cloth diapering and we ran out and bought some fluff after my inspiring pep talk, let’s talk about organizing that fluff. I get at least a few emails every week asking me about cloth diapers, including how I organize my stash. Like I mentioned before, I strangely don’t really mind cloth diaper laundry or even stuffing pockets. I typically wash diapers during Logan’s first nap every other day and do the stuffing/organizing when he wakes up while he’s playing or “helping” me.

I have two drawers dedicated to fluff, although I’m quickly running out of room and will have to convert a third drawer to diapers (I told you I was addicted). Logan’s changing pad is on top off the dresser, so my diapers are in a convenient spot. The first drawer consists of all of my pockets, AIO’s, AI2’s and extra inserts. Basically all of my daytime stash. The second drawer consists of my nighttime diapers (I picked my boring colored pocket diapers for nighttime use), extra nighttime inserts, wet bags, diaper covers and prefolds. I now have a few wool covers in the second drawer for nighttime use.

On top of the dresser, beside the changing pad, I have a JJ Cole Diaper Caddy (thanks to my old co-workers) that I keep stocked with all of my diaper changing necessities (snappis, cotton balls, cloth wipes, diaper cream, diaper wash spray, etc). I seriously love this thing, especially now that my little guy won’t hold still for changes and I have to plop my changing pad on the floor to change him so he won’t tumble off the dresser. I can easily plop the caddy on the floor too.

My diaper pail is right next to my dresser. The large one is for diapers and the small one is for disposable wipes I use on occasion. I bought a plain stainless steel trashcan and I just line it with a pail liner, just like you would a regular trash bag. No stink issues unless if I leave the diapers in there more than 3 days, which I don’t recommend.
