Logan hates hot dogs and chocolate milk and pretty much anything that I would love to binge on. While I do want him to grow up eating healthy, I also know that if I’m super strict about it he will rebel at some point. I believe in everything in moderation, so he’s been exposed to oreos and ice cream. He might take a bite, but he’ll hand it right back to me and look at me like I just fed him poo. Does this kid have any of my sweet tooth genes? Logan’s favorite meal consists of tofu, humus, avocado and cucumbers. What the heck am I going to bribe him with when it comes to potty training? He wouldn’t eat an m&m to save his life. Can you picture it, “Logan, you’ll get an apple slice if you go potty”.
Oh and he also never sits down for longer than 2 seconds. He’s a busy boy, always on the go, always getting into something. It is exhausting trying to keep up with him. He also hates being cooped up indoors and will whine at the back door until I let him play outside, where he has a bigger space to run around. He must be burning a million calories a minute and if it weren’t for grazing on food throughout the day he would be see through. If only I could be my toddler and have his taste buds and energy, how easy it would be to lose weight.
Unlike Logan, I like chips and queso. Dang Superbowl festivities and the chips and queso that come with it. I didn’t even watch the game, but I did enjoy the food. My scale, on the other hand, did not enjoy the food in the morning. I was down another pound mid-week, but the stupid superbowl gained that pound right back. I hate football. I’m still at a 20lb total weight loss, which I’m proud of but I don’t want to be stuck here. I need to get back on track with my Nutrisystem meal plan and send all chips away with my husband tomorrow. I’m going to be more like my toddler.
Just 10 more pounds to go until I reach my initial goals and I can celebrate…with cake. I kid. With cucumbers and tofu. Yummy.
How are you doing this week?

I’m back in Buff Mama territory! I have 4 pounds to loose to be back at my ‘ideal’ weight. The thing is that I was there for a while and I still didn’t like the pouch which was my belly and the flab which was my legs. I have decided to start a 30 day fitness challenge on bodyrock.tv – becuase if I could look 10% like that girl I would die of happiness! I don’t want to be all muscle and stuff, but I don’t want my legs to flab around!! 🙂
Now I wish my kids could be more like Logan! I was bad at exposing them to all of my guilty pleasures over time. However, they don’t do too bad. They both love corn would eat broccoli for every meal if I would let them!!
Yay welcome back! 4 pounds is nothing, you can do it!! Logan is a strange child lol…I’m not sure where he got his love of tofu from!
Logan sounds like my 2 year old son Alex! 🙂 He’s always on the go go go and rarely stops. But Alex does have a bit of a sweet tooth, luckily it’s mostly for fruit. I’ve taken to making recipes from Jessica Seinfield’s Deceptively Delicious (the cupcakes I made for his birthday were soooo yummy and moist!). He also loves the banana bread, french toast, applesauce muffins, and mini pizzas. All of which have veggies in them. I’m also back in the Buff Mama regime, I’m down to 153! To give you an idea I was 125 in high school and 165 at the start of my pregnancy with Alex. I don’t want to be down to my high school weight but I do want to be healthier. I’m starting to get more into salads and getting well and I also decreased my food intake. I try to walk but that doesn’t always happen. Hopefully I can jump back on that bandwagon soon.
I just checked out that book from the library, Logan also loves the mini pita pizzas! Yay for getting back into the Buff Mama regime, keep me posted on your progress…it keeps me motivated 😉
I just made the banana bread and applesauce muffins yesterday. They turned out great! 🙂
