(20 crafty days of christmas) glittered vintage bulbs

December 13, 2012 By Vanessa 2 Comments

My bloggy pal Laura of Pink Cake Plate is here today to show us how to make vintage inspired glittered bulbs. I saw these in person over the weekend at her cookie exchange party and they are so adorable!

Hi Crafty Vanessa fans! I am Laura and I blog at Pink Cake Plate!! I am so excited to be here again to share with you a quick easy Holiday craft!! I love vintage Christmas light bulbs they are so cute. Well they are pretty hard to find to, but I was at Home Depot and came across a package of clear bulbs for only a few dollars! I knew just what I wanted to do with them!!

Encrust them with GLITTER!! I love GLITTER!!

You will only need a few things for this easy craft.

Mod Podge any kind will work

paint brush I used a sponge brush

Glitter

light bulbs these can be new or vintage

Step 1: Completely cover glass part of bulb with Mod Podge

Step 2: Generously pour glitter over wet Mod Podge.

Step 3: Let Dry! That is it!

Make these in a lot of different colors and you will have a very pretty, very sparkly holiday decoration!!

This is what I did with mine and some cookie cutters! I love this!! I hung them from my light fixture over my dining room table!!

I wish you all a very Happy Holiday Season!!!
