Anyone else married to a GEEK? You know, a computer-loving, video game-playing, comic book-reading, science fiction-watching kind of guy? Every year I have such a tough time shopping for my husband. You see, we’re very much opposites. He into Star Trek and I’d rather watch Grey’s Anatomy. Opposites attract and make life interesting, but it makes gift buying very difficult. This year, with the help of the Walgreens Holiday Guide in hand, I set out to put together a stocking full of creative gifts. Who knew that I could get all of my shopping done for my husband at Walgreens?! They have something for everyone, whether it be your spa-loving mom or your geek of a husband. I love that their selection is so diverse that you can truly personalize a gift for anyone there by mixing and matching items. Check out what’s going in my geeky husband’s stocking below.
Geek Gift #1: Man Of Steel Blu-Ray/DVD
This movie was at the top of the list for my geeky husband. Just make sure to grab the Blu-Ray/DVD version, geeks like Blu-Ray. Remind me to tell you about that one Halloween where my husband dressed up as Superman, tights and all. And no, he wasn’t 5.
Geek Gift #2: Geek Magazine
You can’t get geekier than Geek magazine! Anything with comic book characters on the front is also a win. My husband might just have to share this with my superhero obsessed 3 year old, a total geek in the making. Or maybe I should just get a second magazine for my son’s stocking to avoid any unnecessary holiday drama.
Geek Gift #3: USB Mobile & Tablet Power Stick
Geeks love gadgets, but this gift might be more for me. My husband is constantly on his phone and it drives me crazy when he drains his battery and I can’t reach him towards the end of the day. This power stick is small enough to stick in his work bag and he can charge his phone on the go.
Geek Gift #4: Healthy Snacks
Skip the junk, most geeks have read up on the dangers of high fructose corn syrup. My geek happens to be on a Paleo diet and I was super excited to find some Paleo-approved healthy snack options at Walgreens. The Walgreens I shopped at had a large selection of convenient and healthy snacks, just the right size to fit in a holiday stocking too!
Geek Gift #5: Spider-Man USB Flash Drive
Geeks can never have too many USB flash drives. Get one in the shape of Spider-Man and they’ll love you forever. Walgreens had a bunch of different character USB flash drives to choose from. I love that this one can go on his key chain, so he’s never without his beloved USB.
