Party: Mickey Mouse Disney Trip Reveal Breakfast

Disney Trip Reveal Mickey Mouse Breakfast

When I received the coveted invitation to attend the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration, an invitation-only event sponsored by Disney Parks, I couldn’t wait to tell the kids! I totally wanted to spring the trip on the kids the morning of, like you see on so many You Tube trip reveal videos with those kids crying tears of joy. I just knew that wouldn’t work well for my kids. We needed some time to prepare them, so we opted for a special Mickey Mouse breakfast for our Disney World trip reveal. We announced 10 days out, which was the perfect amount of time for our kids. Just enough time to build excitement and prep, but not enough time to have to hear “are we going to Disney yet?” a million times!

My dad scored a vintage Mickey Mouse phone while thrifting and I knew it’d make for the perfect party centerpiece.  When I discovered that it still worked, I knew we had to schedule a special phone call from a Disney character for my kids! They were thrilled! See all those Disney books from the 80’s? Also a fabulous thrifted find and a total trip through memory lane! Logan was initially more excited about the books than he was learning about the trip, lol! Of course, when he had more time to process what a trip to Disney World meant, he was excited! Another good reason why we didn’t just spring the trip on them.

On the menu was a super simple Mickey waffle bar with mix-ins like sprinkles, chocolate chips, strawberries and blackberries. Logan went straight for the strawberries and Amelia went straight for the sprinkles. Total opposites in everything. My mom whipped up a batch of Minnie Mouse cookies as a special treat and I finally got her to write a tutorial (coming soon!). See that adorable Mickey & Minnie banner? It’s from Brandalyn’s Bowtique, my new go to banner shop! After waffles, we watched the Disney trip planning video that you can order for FREE from Disney. Such a good way to share what to expect with your littles!

We’re so excited and grateful for this opportunity! Huge thanks to American Tourister for the awesome luggage to help us start packing for the trip! We’re headed to Disney World next week and you can follow along on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. And I apologize in advance, but you are going to be seeing LOTS of Disney related posts in the near future.
