Have you seen the new Minions movie yet? Let us know what you thought! Logan loved all the Despicable Me movies and seeing the new Minions movie is on our summer bucket list. To get us in a Minion kind of mood, we whipped up a batch of chocolate covered Minion popcorn and it wouldn’t be complete without edible candy eyes! With minimal parental assistance, this recipe is easy enough for preschoolers to help with. Logan, at 5 years old, loves popping the popcorn and drizzling the chocolate. A fun way to get kids involved in the kitchen!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 Cup Popcorn Kernels

1/2 Cup Blue Chocolate

1/2 Cup Yellow Chocolate

1/4 Cup Candy Eyes

INSTRUCTIONS: Pop popcorn kernels according to instructions on the bag. Spread out popped popcorn on a piece of parchment paper. Melt the blue chocolate in the microwave in 30 second increments, mixing in between until melted. Take care not to over melt the chocolate. Drizzle the blue chocolate over the popcorn using a fork. Melt the red chocolate and drizzle over the popcorn. Sprinkle candy eyes over the chocolate. Allow chocolate to harden and then enjoy!
