Hi! Michelle here from Michelle’s Party Plan-It! I’m excited to be sharing how to make Spooky Cupcake Toppers on 30 Crafty Days of Halloween! Halloween is my favorite holiday, I love all the decorations and it’s always fun to dress up with the kids. We celebrate every year with a Halloween party packed with sweets and treats, so I started my party planning with these fun cupcake toppers.
MATERIALS:
Sizzix Big Shot
Handwritten Halloween Thinlits by Tim Holtz
Ghosts Bigz Die by Tim Holtz
Cutting Pads
Magnetic Platform
White Mat-board
Black Card-stock
Glue
Black Ink
Paper Straws
Scissors
INSTRUCTIONS:
Create a sandwich by placing a piece of white mat-board on top of the Bigz Ghosts die and place it between two cutting pads. Then pass the sandwich through the machine.
Once cut, ink the edges of the ghost with black ink. Set the Ghost aside.
Next, for the phrase, pick your favorite phrase from the Handwritten Halloween Thinlits set. Using the magnetic platform, place a cutting pad on the platform, a scrap of black paper, the Thinlits, and then a second cutting pad. Then pass the sandwich through the Big Shot.
Next adhere your word to the ghost and glue the ghost to a Halloween themed paper straw.
Just stick your topper into your freshly baked cupcakes and voila! You have a spooky cupcake perfect for any Halloween party!
