Party: Game Day Football Baked Potato Bar

Game Day Baked Potato Bar

Football season is upon us and we’re gearing up for the big game around here! Where else would I go for game day party inspiration, but World Market. I found the perfect party supplies, including lime soda to match my décor, and hosted pre-big game football party. Practice makes perfect, right?

As I was wandering the aisles (something I frequently do), I found the most fabulous galvanized lazy susan and knew immediately what I’d use it for. Can you say BAKED POTATO BAR?! I filled each compartment with a different topping, including chopped up Krave Jerky and Columbus Salame. They made for the perfect baked potato toppings with minimal prep work and taste delicious.

What’s a party without dessert? I whipped up some super easy shot glass desserts using Ghirardelli mini chocolate chips and Torani chocolate sauce. Simple layer chocolate pudding, whipped topping, chocolate sauce and mini chocolate chips in a shot glass for a yummy dessert. You can top with an edible candy football. Shot glass desserts are my favorite for entertaining because the portion size is just right and you are rarely left with leftovers.

For easy party décor, I made a fabric garland and scribbled a football play on my chalkboard. I used “GO” galvanized marquee lights on top of a wooden cubby, where I placed the shot glass desserts. The cubby and red cake stand are both World Market finds. That green table runner is actually wrapping paper! Now all that’s left to do is chow down on some game day food and cheer on our team!
