Summertime is winding down and back to school time is here. My kids are very opinionated when it comes to clothing, so we went to Sears to do some shopping together. From activewear to denim to footwear, backpacks and more, Sears had everything we needed to kick off the school year in style. On our shopping list were new backpacks, a couple mix and match outfits and shoes for everyone. I was blown away by the cuteness at Sears and my little fashionistas agreed! Well, my 7 year old would say the clothes were “off the chart”.
As a mom of a boy in glasses, I was so excited to find a fun shirt with glasses all over it. We purchased a few other shirts in the same style because my son rated the comfort level as a 10, which apparently trumps everything in terms of fashion for a boy. We also found some basic khaki shorts with an elastic band (super important for the comfort rating) that my son can mix and match with anything. If you prefer online shopping, check out the Sears shoppable back to school digital catalog for fun looks and outfit inspiration.
My 4 year old daughter, who will be entering her second year of preschool, is a tad easier to please. Anything pink, purple or sparkly passes her fashion test. She literally squealed when she saw those sparkly shoes pictured above. They are so very “her”. Whether you’re looking for flashy hightops or comfortable sneakers, Sears has it all and kids’ shoes are on sale starting at $9.99! My son’s black velcro shoes (yay for velcro!) came from Sears.I also picked up a couple basic shorts and several mix and match shirts, including many trendy woodland creatures. I have been shopping the girl section at Sears for awhile now, they have the cutest stuff!
Let’s chat backpacks. My son’s school has a no-pop culture rule, which can sometimes cause issue during back to school shopping when practically everything is slathered in characters. We ran into character backpacks, which my daughter surprisingly passed up, but Sears also had a huge selection of non-character backpacks. The styles were all super cute and on trend. I big puffy heart that Sears carries some of my favorite, durable backpack brands that won’t fall apart in two seconds. Mom + kids all left happy with the backpack choices.
While you are shopping at Sears, don’t forget to sign up for Shop Your Way. Back to school shopping at Sears was easy and painless this year. Now that the kids have their back to school gear, here’s a morning routine chore chart that you can print out and hang up. This chart keeps my preschooler and first grader on track in the morning, minus the nagging from mom. I wake them up and simply tell them to start their morning routine chart. It has made mornings much easier around here.
