These edible bowls with cute monster faces are the perfect place to put Halloween candies and treats this Halloween. Need a creative way to serve treats at a party or an edible craft to make with the kids? These candy bowls are a super simple and fun option!

I’m also excited about the cute edible craft that I’m sharing with you today! My family always tries to keep Halloween more cute than scary and these sweet candy bowls certainly fit the bill! With fun colors and silly monster faces, they’re sure to be a big hit this Halloween!

SUPPLIES

meltable candy wafers
7 in. balloons
candy eyes
gel icing
small bowl and spoon
parchment paper
scissors

TUTORIAL

Step 1: Inflate several balloons Do not blow them up as big as they’ll expand. Simple inflate them to the size that you’d like your small candy bowls to be.

Step 2: Pour candy wafers into a small ceramic or glass bowl and melt them in the microwave according to their package’s instructions.

Step 3: Once the candy wafers are melted to a smooth consistency, dip the bottom half of a balloon into the melted wafers. Make sure to coat the balloon completely in the mixture even dipping it twice if necessary. 

Step 4: Set the dipped balloon onto parchment paper and allow it to cool and set completely.

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have dipped all of the balloons.

Step 6: After the melted candy around the balloons has completely hardened, cut the top of each balloon to deflate them. Carefully pull the popped balloon away from each candy bowl.

Step 7: Use some of the melted candy wafers as “glue” to secure candy eyes onto your bowls. Add facial accents and mouths with gel icing from a squeeze tube. Let the face set.

Step 8: Pour candy and treats into the bowls. Enjoy!

The candy served from inside each edible bowl won’t be the only thing to bring happy smiles and giggles on Halloween. The cute monster faces on these bowls are sure to bring on smiles, too! And the best part? You can eat the bowl when the candy is all gone! Happy Halloween!
