Disney: littleBits Star Wars Droid Inventor Kit Review #littleBits #InventorsWanted

November 20, 2017 By Vanessa Leave a Comment

I received an all expense paid trip from Disney to attend the #ThorRagnarokEvent. The opinions expressed here are my own. This post contains affiliate links. #littleBits #InventorsWanted

The littleBits Droid Inventor Kit takes the top spot on my 7 year old’s Christmas wish list this year! Kids can create their own custom Droid from scratch and bring it to life it with littleBits electronic blocks. They can take it on 16+ missions using a free app. The droid can be customized and reconfigured for new powers. I had the opportunity to play with a droid at the Thor Ragnarok press trip and had so much fun with it! I was also blown away by this awesome company that sheds light on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math). They are clearly passionate about their products and inspiring the next generation of inventors. They definitely won my stamp of mom-approval!

On November 15th, littleBits launced a global inventor movement and competition. The challenge invites kids, families, and Star Wars fans—residing in the US, UK, and Canada – to share their own unique Droid creations with the global inventor community. The competition will run from November 15, 2017 to January 10, 2018. Fans and families will be able to submit their own leading-edge Droid design creations, judged by Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Daisy Ridley (the actress who portrays Rey in the current Star Wars trilogy) and Kelly Marie Tran (the actress who portrays Rose Tico in Star Wars: The Last Jedi) alongside Ayah Bdeir (founder and CEO of littleBits) and Kathleen Kennedy (president of Lucasfilm).

I'm Vanessa and it's my mission in life to spread my love of hot glue guns and glitter to others. I suffer from craft ADHD, regularly working on at least 10 projects at the same time and my craft room looks like a tornado hit it. My first craft book, Party in a Jar, was published in 2014. I look forward to crafting with you!
