Craft: Frozen Snowflake Bath Bombs

My Frozen obsessed 3 year old is counting down the days until she can watch Elsa and Anna come to life at Disney on Ice! In the meantime, we’re crafting up some Frozen inspired bath bombs. My kids love adding bath bombs to their bath water and watching them fizzle and dissolve. These peppermint bath bombs leave behind an amazing scent and tint the bath water a shade of blue. Grab a snowflake silicone mold for a fun shape!

INGREDIENTS

1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup Epsom salts
3/4 cup corn starch
1 teaspoon water
2 teaspoon peppermint essential oil
3 teaspoon olive oil
3-5 drops blue food coloring
snowflake silicone mold

INSTRUCTIONS

Step 1: Combine the baking soda, citric acid, Epsom salts and corn starch together in a large mixing bowl.

Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine the water, peppermint oil, olive oil and blue food coloring together.

Step 3: Combine the wet with the dry ingredients, using a whisk or spoon. Mix until the ingredients are all blue and smooth.

Step 4: Spoon the ingredients into the silicone mold and press down firmly, packing as much in as possible.

Step 5: Allow to dry overnight and then carefully remove the snowflake bath bombs from the mold.

Step 6: Store the bath bombs in a mason jar. As your bath is running, place a bath bomb in the bath and watch it fizzle and turn the water blue. The peppermint smell is the best!

I look forward to crafting with you!
