Disney: Easy Frozen Mickey Ears Headband

Let it go, let it go! Frozen is on repeat around here, thanks to my 3 year old. She definitely caught Frozen Fever and is looking forward to seeing Elsa and Anna at Disney on Ice. The characters from Cars, The Little Mermaid and Toy Story will also be there, along with Mickey and friends. I crafted up a Frozen inspired headband, complete with Mickey ears and a snowflake. This Mickey ear tutorial is easy to follow and you can customize colors and accessories to create a headband inspired by just about any Disney character. We might make a few more for our trip to the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration! Make a batch of Frozen inspired snowflake bath bombs while you are at it!

MATERIALS

Non-Adhesive Aqua Glitter Vinyl
Headband
Ear Template
Pencil
Scissors
Hot Glue Gun
Aqua Glitter Tulle
Plastic Snowflake

TUTORIAL

Step 1: Download and print the Mickey Ear Template from Disney Family. Cut out the template and trace onto the back of the glitter vinyl, you’ll need 2 per headband. Cut out the ears.

Step 2: Fold the ears in half and secure to the headband, sandwiching the headband, using hot glue. Place the ears 1-2 inches apart.

Step 3: Cut a long piece of tulle and tie into a bow. The length depends on how long you’d like your tulle ends to hang. I doubled up on tulle to make it more opaque. Hot glue to the center of the headband.

Step 4: Hot glue a plastic snowflake to the center of the tulle bow.

Vanessa

I'm Vanessa and it's my mission in life to spread my love of hot glue guns and glitter to others. I suffer from craft ADHD, regularly working on at least 10 projects at the same time and my craft room looks like a tornado hit it. My first craft book, Party in a Jar, was published in 2014. I look forward to crafting with you!
