Logan starts his second year of preschool next week and we celebrated the end of summer with a Taco Tuesday Fiesta. I’ll be sharing my Taco Bar ideas with you later this week, but first I wanted to show you how to make this festive fringe cups. I’ve made a version of these pinata cups before, but I discovered an even easier way to add some flair to your party cups. Grab a few rolls of crepe paper streamers, your glue gun, a pair of scissors and some paper cups. That’s all you need for this easy party craft!

Materials

Paper Cups

Crepe Paper Streamers – 3 Rolls

Glue Gun

Scissors

Instructions

Step 1: Measure around one of your cups. That’s how long you’ll need your streamers to be, with an extra 1/2 inch for overlap. My cups were 8 1/2 inches around, so I cut my streamers to be 9 inches long. Cut 2 strips of each color.

Step 2: Layer your crepe paper strips directly on top of each other and cut slits into the streamers, almost all the way to the top, as shown in the photo below.

Step 3: Hot glue 1 streamer around the cup, toward the bottom of the cup. Hot glue remaining streamers in layers, moving up the cup, as shown in the photo below.

Step 4: Add a striped paper straw to your cups and enjoy the fiesta!
