If you’re planning a Disney trip, here are some fun Disneybounding ideas for kids! Disneybounding is when you wear normal clothing to the parks that resemble a character. Instead of princess dresses everyday, that take up way too much valuable suitcase space, we packed normal play clothes that matched my daughter’s favorite characters. Of course, we found a few fun accessories in Disney World to accessorize with.
All clothing pieces came from Primary.com, one of my favorite online clothing shops for kids that sells simple solid colored clothing. They are my absolute favorite play clothes because the quality withstands the wear and tear of an active 3 year old. It’s also nice having a closet full of solid colored pieces that my little fashionista can mix and match to her heart’s content. I was happy to add to our Primary.com collection for our Disney Social Media Moms Celebration trip in Disney World!
Tangled – Rapunzel
The Dress (Lilac), The Cardi (Raspberry), The Capri Legging (Raspberry)
Snow White
The Slim T-Shirt (Cobalt), The Cardi (Cherry), The Reversible Twirly (Sunshine), The Capri Legging (White)
The Little Mermaid – Ariel
The Dress (Lilac), The Legging (Grass)
A big part of the reason why we love Disney so much is the extra “pixie dust” or acts of kindness that cast members and even other guests spread around. During my littlest’s first trip to Disney World, she had gotten sick all over her outfit and I ran inside of the closest gift shop to get her something to wear back to the hotel. The cast member helped me quickly pick something out and when I reached for my wallet, she told me that the outfit was on Mickey and to have a better day. I could have cried, that moment made my day. My year. I still get choked up just thinking of her kindness.
During this trip, we wanted to be part of the pixie dust. I crafted up Pressed Penny Cards and we attached coins to the cards to hand out. The coins can be used at any of the many pressed coin machines around the park for a fun souvenir. We had fun surprising other kids with these cards and spreading around a little more Disney pixie dust!
During the month of February, post a photo to social media showing how you or your kids will be kind today. Don’t forget to tag @primarydotcom and #smallactbigkindness. For every post, Primary.com will donate an outfit to a child in need through their partner @Baby2Baby!
