TOP 10 THINGS TO DO AT THE CRAYOLA EXPERIENCE

If you have a creative kiddo on your hands, RUN to the Crayola Experience inside the Chandler Fashion Center in Arizona! Wanting to experience a new family friendly activity in the Phoenix area, I spent my birthday at the Crayola Experience and I couldn’t think of a better way to tap into my inner child while turning 37! There’s so much creative fun to be had at the Crayola Experience, it was tough to narrow down our top 10 favorites. Many of the activities change on a regular basis, keeping the experience fresh and fun for multiple visits. The annual pass is only $99.99 for 4 annual passes, such a great deal and absolutely worth the price! Annual passes would make a great birthday or Christmas gift. Experience gifts are my favorite!

1. NAME YOUR OWN CRAYON

Name and customize your very own Crayola crayon at this attraction. Pick the name and print out the wrapper for a special souvenir  that’s included in the entry fee. My son named his crayon “Logan The Green” and my daughter named her crayon “Amazing Amelia”. Who wouldn’t want a custom crayon named after them?!

2. BECOME A FASHION DESIGNER

We played at the virtual studio station for over an hour and would have stayed there longer if we had more time. Color a dress or car, scan it in and watch it come to life on a huge projected screen. It was so much fun seeing our dress and car designs on the big screen!

3. PICK YOUR PACK

Visit The Crayola Store, right outside the Crayola Experience and pick your own pack of crayons at the Pick Your Pack wall. My daughter packed her tin full of her favorite colors, crayons in all shades of purples and pinks! The Pick Your Pack wall, lined with crayons, also makes for a fun photo opt.

4. DANCE WITH YOUR CREATION

We colored paper frogs and placed them on a special stage, where they danced and rocked to the music! My 6 year old loves anything involving dance, so this was especially fun for her! The creations change regularly, making this a fun station to visit again and again.

5. DRAW WITH MELTED CRAYON

Drawing with melted crayon wax was my 9 year old’s favorite activity at the Crayola Experience! The station is set up with special pens that have different colors of melted crayon inside. Hop around to the different pens to create a unique masterpiece. I love that every single activity at the Crayola Experience is hands on and that there’s something for every single age and ability!

6. PLAY IN THE RAINBOW RAIN

My kids loved getting their wiggles out by running through the virtual rainbow rain, controlled by movement. There is also a stomp and play attraction nearby where the kiddos can play with an interactive floor. I love that the Crayola Experience encourages creativity in such a fun and active way!

7. GET YOUR COLOR ON

At the center of the Crayola Experience is a giant art caddy that holds thousands of Crayola crayons and coloring sheets. Allow plenty of time to simply color and create. I loved seeing so many adults coloring!

8. SCULPT WITH CRAYOLA’S MODEL MAGIC

Sculpt, cut and color using Crayola’s Model Magic compound at this station. There’s a project guide at the tables, that changes monthly, or you can free play. This was our first time using Crayola’s Model Magic and we loved it so much that we bought a batch at The Crayola Store before we left. Model Magic is so much softer than any dough we’ve played with and it doesn’t leave crumbs. It can also be colored with markers to make a unique color. This will be my future go to gift for all our friends!

9. CREATE DRIP ART

We picked our crayon colors and controlled the spinning speed to create a swirly whirly masterpiece at this popular attraction. The Crayola Experience gives everyone a bag at the entrance to hold all of their special creations during their visit. They really did think of everything!

10. MAKE A WAX HAND

We melted wax, spinned wax and molded wax at the Crayola Experience. The only thing left was to dip our hands in wax to create wax hands! This attraction is a small additional fee, but so much fun for the family.

Visit the Crayola Experience in Chandler, AZ and get your color on!
